(Sanskrit) "End of the Vedas." One of the six orthodox schools of Indian philosophy based on the teachings of the Upanishads. It explores the relationship between Brahman (Ultimate Reality), Atman (the individual soul), and the world. Major sub-schools include Advaita (non-dualism), Vishishtadvaita (qualified non-dualism), and Dvaita (dualism).
