English Definition
(Sanskrit) Play or sport. In Indian philosophy (particularly in Vedanta and Vaishnavism), it refers to the concept of the universe as a playful manifestation or creative sport of the Divine (Brahman or Vishnu), acting without any external compulsion or need.
