English Definition
(Sanskrit) Literally, "vision" or "seeing." In Indian philosophy, it refers to a school of philosophy or a system of thought. There are six orthodox (astika) darsanas: Nyaya, Vaisheshika, Samkhya, Yoga, Mimamsa, and Vedanta.
